2009 Elementary Creative Expressions

This summer's creative arts program will involve one week sessions, however, feel more than welcome to sign your child up for both sessions. Each week will be its own unique expression of the children involved. Join us in creative collaboration!

Each week will culminate in a performance weaving all of our creations together. There will be opportunities for your child to be involved with set design, script writing, story telling, drama, movement, puppetry, printmaking, prop creation, music composition, mask making, and improvisation. We will blend each other's ideas and creations together to form a whole that represents the contributions and talents of the group. Your child can choose to be involved in whichever aspects interest them each day. Let's put on a show!!

*If your child does sign up for both sessions, s/he is more than welcome to bring props/puppets/masks made to the following week to be incorporated in a new performance. All children will need to bring a sack lunch and a water bottle. Bug spray and sunscreen may also be helpful. We hope to spend time picnicking and getting creative outside.

This program is designed for students ages 6-12 years.

Meet the Teachers
Melissa Fronberry is a Primary Directress here at MCMS. Melissa has a Bachelors degree in Art from UW-Madison. She has been creating art and music for many years on her own and with children. Trumpet, piano, poetry, painting, singing and dancing are some of her interests. She is excited to be returning this summer to create with the children again!	Laurie Rossbach is the art teacher for our Elementary and Adolescent programs here at MCMS. Laurie Rossbach is teaching art for a second year at MCMS. Laurie has a BS in Art from UW Madison and has worked as a professional artist and art teacher for over 15 years.
