Philosophy
We view the Montessori approach to education as a true "aid to life" where each child is given freedom with limitations, in a structured, prepared environment, to experience the joys of learning and to discover his/her own potential.

Mission Statement
The purpose of Madison Central Montessori School is to foster education and learning consistent with the Montessori Method. Our Primary Children's House and Elementary Programs are certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). The school provides the environment and materials that permit a child to participate freely in activities suited to his/her individual level of capability, and encouragement so that the child may become an orderly, integrated person with self-direction, inner discipline, and a sense of responsibility. Through its curriculum and activities, the school endeavors to promote an educational experience that fulfills the child's need to become independent and acquire basic cognitive and social skills.
"Independence is a necessity if the child's drive to develop is to be realized." Maria Montessori, Childhood to Adolescence
