Admissions

Our school follows the Madison Public School calendar, with the school year starting September 1st and continuing through the second week of June. (See Calendar) There is an orientation for new students the week before school begins each year.

Current parents re-enroll their children in March each year. Applications for new children are received at any time and are processed on a first come, first served basis, with consideration for enrollment guidelines. Children may enter the program throughout the school year as space permits.

Parents interested in learning more about our school can click here to request information. Parent tours/observations are held Monday-Thursday mornings by appointment only. To schedule a visit, please contact the admissions office by phone (608-274-9549 x2) or email. We consider this contact very important in helping you to make a well-informed decision when choosing a school for your child, so applications for admission are only available at the end of this visit to the school.

We also hold Open Houses each year, one in November and one in February. In addition, interested families are invited to attend other informational events throughout the year. Watch the website or call for exact dates.

Enrollment Guidelines

The Primary Program is for children aged 2 ½ - 6 years. Children entering this program must be toilet trained and at least 2 years 6 months of age, and preferably not older than 4 years if entering a Montessori program for the first time. When placing new children each year, importance is given to maintaining a balance of ages within the class as well as balancing the number of male and female students.

The Elementary Program is for ages 6 - 12 years. Previous Montessori experience is generally required for Elementary admission.
